Robert
Russell "Russ" Babb, 51, of Salina KS, died Thursday (Jan. 24
2002) in Salina. Funeral services were held January 28 at Trinity United
Methodist Church in Salina. Interment is in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina
Russ was born September 20, 1950, at Decatur, the son of Kenneth and Henrietta
Mies Babb. He married Susan Miller. She survives. Also surviving are a son,
Tyler Babb, a dughter, Kimberly Babb, his father and stepmother, Kenneth
and Betty Babb of Bella Vista AR, and two sisters, Barbara Babb of Champaign,
IL, and Kathy Sluder of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his
mother in 1996,
Mr. Babb had been the director of respiratory therapy at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina since 1990. He was a member of Kansas Respiratory Care Society and was 2001 past president.
He was a member of the Salina Elks Lodge. He served on the City of Salina Planning comission. He was a reading mentor at Hageman School in Salina, and member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Salina.
